Meet Mike Reese

As Senior Vice President of NRC’s compliance business, Mike has over twenty years of executive level contingency planning experience, specializing in rapid/emergency response operations and support planning. His duties encompass a wide variety of responsibilities including strategic planning, emergency/oil spill response, marine operations, business relationship management, OPA 90 Compliance, Alternative Technologies.

Well known for his “Boots on the ground” leadership and management of the emergency response related activates of NRC’s Compliance/Stand-by Services Division, Mike is also responsible for the oversight of NRC’s Global Response Services (GRS). As a former USAF Mobility Officer he understands the importance and value of a global response with potential operations in the most remote parts of the world. Managing multi-faceted operation is second nature to this seasoned professional.

A leading expert in global response, Mike’s years of operations, logistics and project management experience provides NRC with a competent response infrastructure necessary to conduct an effective global response. His extensive emergency/disaster/oil spill response experience has been a driving force for NRC’s Global Response Capabilities.

With a special focus on the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA 90) regulatory compliance issues, particularly Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) classifications under the USCG Response Resources Inventory (RRI) guidelines, Mike is a recognized expert in applying alternative technologies related to dispersants and aerial applications.
