NRC Responds to Diesel Fuel Spill in San Diego

On May 17, 2016, NRC responded to a diesel fuel spill near Old Town, San Diego. Around 3,700 gallons of diesel spilled into an environmentally sensitive wetland, which houses a bird sanctuary, when a tanker truck overturned. NRC worked as part of a team alongside various federal and state agencies to remove any contamination quickly and efficiently to minimise the impact on the environment.
